Post Name: Chauffeur / Driver – Group- ‘C’
Age Limit: 18-27 Years
Age relaxation is Applicable as per rules.
Qualifications: 10th, 12th with driving licence of light vehicles and 2 years unblemished experience in the line.
Mode of Selection
Provisionally eligible candidates will require to appear for Preliminary Examination (OMR based Objective Type), Skill Tests (Driving Skill Test on Simulator as well as on road in Real Traffic Conditions) and Interview, as per the following Scheme of the Examination.
Preliminary Examination (OMR based Objective Type) Total Marks -100 Marks Total Time 90 Minutes
The Preliminary Examination would consist of theory paper (in Hindi as well as English languages) comprising 50 Multiple Choice Questions on driving skills knowledge, road signals, road safety, advanced navigation and GPS technologies, basic mechanical knowledge, etc. of 02 marks.
Qualifying criteria for the next stage
General Category – 50 Marks (50% of 100)
Reserved Category (SC/ST/OBC-NCLIEWS) 45 Marks (45% of 100)
Out of successful candidates, candidates to the extent of ten (10) times the number of vacancies advertised in each category would be called for the next stage of the Examination.
Skill Tests Total Marks -100 Marks
Skill Tests shall comprise
- Driving Skill Test on Simulator (50 Marks); and
- Driving Skill Test on road in Real Traffic Conditions (50 Marks)
All successful candidates of this stage (both Skill Tests) will be called for the next stage of the Examination.
Interview – Total Marks – 40 Marks
Minimum pass marks for General Category candidates will be 20 Marks and for Reserved Category (SC/ST/OBC-NCLIEWS including Ex-servicemen) candidates will be 18 Marks.
Preference shall be given to candidates having proficiency knowledge of driving automatic vehicles and/or possessing any certificate of having undergone driving course from recognised/certified Institution(s).
